Telebarta Limited (TBL) is the synergy of information and communication services brought about by digitalization and convergence. Telebarta’s network consists of the latest switching, transmission and access technologies. The switching technology deployed in TBL network is based on wireless switches. The CDMA 1X based wireless switches are advanced enough to provision not only quality spectrum efficient voice services but also 144 kbps of data rates and SMS, VMS and MMS services. CDMA 2000 1X provides an in-built connectivity to the internet which gives users the power of accessing internet and data services at anytime. Motorola is responsible for the technical backbone of Telebarta Limited and Siemens in responsible for the supply of its Digital Microwave system. Switching technologies of Telebarta Limited enables it to provide high quality voice and data services to give a new experience to users.
For the first time in Bangladesh and among all PSTN companies, Telebarta Limited received regulatory permission to provide its own backbone support to their valued customers. Currently TBL has built and provisioned its own backbone for traffic between Dhaka and Chittagong, Dhaka and Sylhet, Dhaka and Khulna, and by 4th quarter 2006 between Dhaka and Bogra.
Jubok Phone, the first successful product of Telebarta Limited, was launched with a vision to serve subscribers with modern telecommunication technology and to connect the unconnected.
