Telebarta Limited arranged a competition to select logo of Telebarta Limited. About 4,181 logos were submitted from all over the country after a press advertisement submission of logo. Ex Chairman, Federation of Chamber of Commerce Mr. M.A. Kashem, Director of Fine Arts Institute of Dhaka University, Mr. Abdur Sattar, Designer Mr. France Baowar, Director of Ketis, Mr. Shafiq-Uz-Zamman were present on the occasion to select the logo. To present the selected logo and announce the name of the winner a program was arranged in Spectra Convention Center, Gulshan. The living legend and renowned folk singer Mr. Mostafa Zaman Abbasi was present there as the Chief Guest.

Telebarta Limited commercially launched their brand Jubok Phone service on 28th February, 2006 at China-Bangladesh Friendship Conference Centre, Dhaka. Barrister Mr. Md. Aminul Haque, the honorable Post & Telecommunication Minister, Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh was present as the Chief Guest and he launched Telebarta’s Jubok Phone service by calling and talking to Jubok Phone number from a mobile phone. BTRC Chairman Mr. Mohammed Omar Faruq and Mr. Simon Leung, President, Motorola were present as special guests. Among others present were, Chairman, Telebarta Ltd., Mr. Hosain Al Masum, CEO of Telebarta Ltd. Mr. Abu Md. Sayeed, Managing Director of Telebarta Ltd. Mr. A. N. M. Golam Sarwar and Ambassador Bradley Holmes, Advisor to the board of directors Telebarta Ltd. At the time of its commercial launch, Telebarta Limited had around 25,000 customers’ application forms from four zones – South-East, South-West, North-East, and North-West. Several free phone sets were given to some schools and colleges under Telebarta network by the honorable Chief Guest.

Telebarta Limited was the title sponsor of National Football Championship (named Jubok Phone National Football Championship), 2006 organized by Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) which was participated by 64 district teams and 9 teams from services and universities and was held at nine different venues across the country. The selection round started on 21st July, 2006 at Shariyatpur and ended on 4th August, 2006 at Bandarban. The final round started from 18th August, 2006 at Sylhet and ended on 3rd September, 2006 at Sylhet. The successful tournament was highlighted in press and electronic media throughout the country. |

Meet the press to honor freedom fighters on 35th Victory Day (13th December, 2006) |

A presentation was made by TBL on the ‘Bright Opportunity of Telecommunication in Bangladesh’ in the press conference. TBL donated free handsets with connections to some freedom fighters from the districts of it’s coverage on the occasion of Victory Day. The honorable secretary of Telegraph and Telephone Ministry of People’s Republic of Bangladesh Mr. Miah Mustak Ahmed was present as the Chief Guest. The Chairperson of Bangladesh PSTN Operators Association M. Hayatuz - Zaman Khan and the editor of the Daily Observer Mr. Iqbal Sobhan Chowdhury was present as special guests. Telebarta gets Dhaka License |

The leading land phone operator of Bangladesh, Telebarta Limited has secured the License to provide PSTN service at Dhaka city. The License has been given on an occasion held on 18th November, 2007 in Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) office. On the License giving ceremony Managing Director Mr. A.N.M. Golam Sarwar has taken the License on behalf of Telebarta Limited from the Chairman of BTRC Major General (Rtd.) Monjurul Alam. The Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Abu Md. Syed and other higher officials of Telebarta Limited were also present there. It is to be mentioned that Telebarta Limited has been operating PSTN service in four zones (North-East, North-West, South-East, and South-West Zones) from last two years. The mission of Telebarta Limited is to set up the complete frame of the telecommunication network system within a very short time to cover the whole country including Dhaka. |
